HOW CAN YOU HELP SAVE ANIMALS?

Student Volunteer Form

Tobyplaygroundagain

Our rescue animals arrive from shelters with nothing. They are scared and grateful all at once. Imagine how happy a dog might be to have a ball to play with and a bed to curl up on after being locked up in a cold cage for weeks on end! You can help make such a difference in the lives of abandoned animals. Every dollar donation also helps to save more animals by allowing us to provide the medical attention and training that they might need before becoming adoptable.

There are many things you can do to help PetConnect Rescue, no matter your age. Big or small, your contributions and efforts on behalf of animals will always make a difference! You can get community service hours and save animals at the same time.

  • Organize a school or community bake sale, car wash, or lemonade stand to benefit PetConnect Rescue.
  • Instead of gifts, invite your friends to donate to PetConnect Rescue in honor of your birthday, graduation or Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
  • Choose PetConnect Rescue for your Montgomery County Student Service Learning Project. PetConnect Rescue is pre-approved for MCPS SSL.
  • Set up collection boxes with your school, scout troop, youth group or community center for pet supplies or monetary donations.
  • Ask your parents if your family can foster an animal for a few days or weeks until we can find a permanent home for that pet.
  • Start a club or interest group at your school to raise awareness and how to help.
  • Start a drive to collect items needed for our animals. Items we can use include new or gently used collars, harnesses, leashes, pet toys (such as small stuffed animals for kittens, hard rubber toys for dogs etc…), bowls, pet beds, crates, canned food.

Together, we can connect homeless animals with their families and make the world a better place.
