Adopt a Pet
The PetConnect adoption process includes a consultation with a PetConnect representative and is designed to help you find the animal most compatible with your family.
We are committed to placing each pet in the right home for that particular pet. We take time to know each dog or cat and can give you detailed information about his/her behavior and personality. Please contact us at Petconnect@petconnectrescue.org if you have questions about a particular animal or need assistance in finding the perfect pet.
PetConnect requests an adoption donation of $250 for a dog, $225 for a puppy and $100 for a cat. These fees help to cover the medical, transport and foster expenses incurred in rescuing each animal.
Petsmart offers discounts to anyone who adopts a rescue animal. The discounts on food, toys and other animal-related products are worth about $160. To get a coupon book for the discounts, just bring the PetConnect adoption papers to any Petsmart and present them at checkout.
Iggy
Iggy
is a young and sweet, sweet, sweet beagle/chihuahua mix who is gentle and
friendly with everyone. About a 1-1/2 years old, 18 lbs., spayed and
up to date on her shots, she loves children and other dogs, and wants
nothing more than to be cuddled. Iggy is fully housebroken,
smart, alert and knows "sit" and "come" commands. She is also well
behaved on a leash and rides happily in the car.
Iggy only needs one thing -- a loving home! Rescued from a rural shelter in South Carolina, she is presently in foster care in Potomac. Please call Lizette at 301-299-3075 or visit our website: www.petconnectrescue.org to learn more about this adorable young pup.
Brady -- Adoption Pending
Brady is a 2-year-old pug/chihuahua/terrier mix who is a funny and fun-loving little guy. He is fully housebroken, crate trained and up to date on all of his shots. Already neutered, Brady is dog friendly and great on a leash. Full of energy, Brady loves to play but would just as easily enjoy being a lap dog! This incredibly cuddly little dog is even past the "chewing up things" stage. Brady is fiercely loyal and will be a wonderful companion for someone without small children. The commotion of a busy household is too stressful for him, but in a quiet, adult environment he should thrive. If you have a place in your heart and home for Brady, please call Carole at 301-602-0278 or contact PetConnect Rescue at 301-299-3798.
Basil
Basil
is a purebred Balinese, so he has every reason to be stuck-up; however, this
wonderful boy with gorgeous blue eyes is extremely loving and sweet.
He is declawed and 7 years young. Basil always uses his litterbox and
wants nothing more than to be with his human. He will follow you
around and sleep on your bed (if you let him). Content to be petted
and combed, Basil will purr and purr. Basil is extremely laid back and
a wonderful companion. He was given up because his owner moved to a
nursing facility. To meet Basil, please contact his foster at 301-549-4777
or MJ at 4LeggedLuv@gmail.com.

Romeo
Meet
Romeo, a very handsome year-old cat with soft chinchilla fur and an even
softer heart. This little fellow is wonderfully affectionate.
Everyone is his friend, including the resident cats in his foster home.
Romeo is healthy, up-to-date on all his shots and neutered. He
languished for months in a shelter before being brought into rescue; now he
is hoping for a forever home. Please call Lizette at 301-299-3798 to
learn more about Romeo and to arrange to meet him.
Snoop
Snoop
came to PetConnect because his owners had a baby who is allergic to him and
Solomon (see below). A gray domestic short hair, Snoop is about 5
years old, neutered and up to date on all his shots. A darling indoor cat, he
is a little timid having been wisked away from his home. Even though
he and Solomon have lived together, they do not appear to be emotionally
attached and can be adopted separately. If you have room in your home
and heart for Snoop, please call Lizette at 301-299-3798.
Solomon
Solomon
is a sweet cat who, like Snoop (described above) lost his home because of an
allergic child. About 5 years old, neutered and up to date on his
shots, Solomon is a tabby who is in search of a loving home. He is an
indoor cat, and a bit shy because of the upheaval in his life. As he
and Snoop do not appear to be attached to one another, Solomon can be
adopted alone if you are not able to take the pair. Please call
Lizette at 301-299-3798 if you can give this cat a forever home.
