Financial Support

Financial support is the backbone of every rescue group. Adoption fees cover only a portion of our costs; we depend on the generosity of people like you to continue to rescue abandoned animals and place them in safe, loving and permanent homes. To make a secure donation, please select one of the following methods of payment. PetConnect Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Donate without leaving our website by clicking the Donate Now button below to use our online payment gateway system. Donating via this secure link will allow you to create an online account where you can see a history of your donations, set up a recurrent schedule of donations, and manage your preferences at your convenience. Using this gateway will also guarantee that you are added to the PetConnect donor database.

Estate Planning

A bequest to PetConnect Rescue through your Will or Trust helps ensure that we can continue to carry out our mission to rescue abandoned animals and place them in safe, loving and permanent homes.

By remembering PetConnect Rescue in your estate planning, you can leave a legacy that will benefit future generations of animals and help provide for our future work. The federal government encourages these gifts or bequests, by allowing an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction.

There are various methods for making such a bequest: 


Specific Bequest

A specific bequest allows you to leave a specified gift in the form of a cash distribution. To make such a bequest, use the following language:
 “I give, devise and bequeath to PetConnect Rescue, P.O. Box 60714, Potomac, MD 20859, the sum of (insert amount) to be used for its general purposes.” 


Residuary Bequest

A residuary bequest allows you to leave a “remainder” of a percentage of your estate to PetConnect Rescue. To make a residuary use the following language:
 “I give, devise and bequeath to PetConnect Rescue, P.O. Box 60714, Potomac, MD 20859, all (insert percentage amount) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, to be used for its general purposes.” 


Contingency Bequest

A contingency bequest allows you to make a gift contingent on certain circumstances. To make a contingency bequest use the following language: 
“If any of the above-named beneficiaries should predecease me, I hereby bequeath his or her share to PetConnect Rescue, P.O. Box 60714, Potomac, MD 20859, to be used for its general purposes.”

If you already have a Will, you can use the suggested wording to write a codicil (an addendum) that names PetConnect Rescue a beneficiary of your estate.

 

Vehicle Donation

You can help PetConnect's animals by donating that unwanted car, truck, motorcycle, boat or RV! PetConnect benefits with each vehicle that is donated, and every penny goes toward helping our animals. Wish List

PetConnect Rescue is always looking for donations of goods and services that will directly benefit our rescue animals. Please email us, or call us at 877-838-9171, if you would like to donate any of the following items:

• Collars, harnesses, or  leashes (new or gently used)
• Pet toys (such as small stuffed animals for kittens, hard rubber toys for dogs etc...)
• Feeding bowls
• Pet beds
• Crates or carriers
• Canned food
• Cat scratching posts
• Dog or cat medications (Interceptor, Heartguard, insulin…)
• Pet services (e.g. grooming)
• Pro bono construction help
