Catcher

I live in Gwynn Oak, MD with my husband Dave and my 16 year old daughter, Sydney.  We rescued our first dog in February, 2015, a 4 year old boxer we named Jasmine.  She has been a wonderful addition to our family for almost 2 years, now.  We recently decided that we would like to add to our family by rescuing another dog.  Our family found Catcher on line through the Pet Connect Rescue website in November.  After the application process, and a home visit, we were invited to come out and meet him.  We brought Jasmine with us to meet Catcher at his foster home. We didn’t know what to expect since the rescue noted he was nervous around new people, especially men. We also didn’t know how Jasmine and Catcher would get along.  The meeting went very well and we brought him home with us on the same day-12/3/16.  It was a long drive from his foster home in Poolesville, MD to our home in Gwynn Oak, MD.  Despite being new to him, he curled up next to me and put his head in my lap…That is how he stole my heart.  Catcher has adjusted well to life with our family since we brought him home. He loves playing with his sister Jasmine and they get along very well.  He also likes playing with his humans whether it is tugging the rope, fetching the ball, or just rough play.  His favorite toy seems to be whatever toy Jasmine is playing with.  He loves to go on walks and we enjoy watching him run and play at the dog park.  He is a great cuddler when watching television or reading a book.  At night, he can usually be found curled up in bed next to one of us, always touching his humans. We couldn’t be happier with Catcher. He is such a sweet boy and a really good dog.  He seems happy too in his forever home with our family.
